James MacMahon receives Volunteer Award at annual Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Senior Sports Awards

Congratulations to Banbridge CC’s James MacMahon who was last night presented with the Volunteer’s Award at the annual Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council Senior Sports Awards.

The Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Sports Forum in association with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council host the Senior Sports Awards. The prestigious event brings together athletes, teams, coaches, clubs and volunteers from the borough, recognising and rewarding their achievements and celebrating commitment and excellence in service, participation and performance.

James is an active volunteer within Banbridge CC and is the current Treasurer of the club. In his role as club Treasurer James has been instrumental bringing the club into a stable financial standing and introduced a number of pro-active initiatives and efficiencies to help deal with the increasing demand on the treasurer role and increased financial transactions.  He has also been central in club sponsorship activities and the management of the associated funds generated through those activities.

James is also a member of the Open Race Committee and is a regular volunteer for marshalling and driving duties for club events.

The Club Committee and membership both thank James for his continued services to the club and of course congratulate him on the richly deserved recognition and award.
